Road tax calculation truck

The amount of road tax for a truck depends on:

- whether you make use of the option of paying for 4 consecutive periods in one go
- Whether your truck is equipped with a coupling device
- the maximum authorised mass of your truck
- the type of suspension your truck has
- the number of axles of your truck
- Whether an exemption applies to your truck. For more information, see Truck exemption.
- The Euro standard of your truck
- Whether your truck is powered by an electric motor. In that case, contact the Belasting Telefoon Auto: 0800 - 0749.
- Whether your truck is powered by an engine that can run on hydrogen. If so, please contact the Belasting Telefoon Auto: 0800 - 0749.

Euro standards
The road tax due will be increased. The increase depends on the Euro class of your truck.
The road tax will be increased by:
- 90% for a truck with Euro class 0
- 75% for a truck with Euro class I
- 60% for a truck with Euro class II
If no Euro class is registered, the Euro class is determined on the basis of the date of first registration of the truck as stated in the vehicle registration.
- Euro 0 vehicle if the date of first admission to circulation was before 1 July 1992
- Euro I vehicle where the date of first entry into service is after 30 June 1992 and before 1 October 1995
- Euro II vehicle if the date of first entry into service is after 30 September 1995 and before 1 October 2000
- Euro III and above where the date of first entry into service is after 30 September 2000
