What is a moped?
The official definition of a moped is:
"a four-wheeled vehicle with an enclosed body, a maximum empty weight of 350 kg, a maximum design speed of 45 km/h and a maximum power of 4 kW or 50 cm3".
For a moped, largely the same rules apply as for a car. The moped is allowed to drive on normal roads, with the exception of provincial and motorways. Outside built-up areas, the moped has a maximum speed of 45 kilometres per hour, and within built-up areas, the maximum speed must be adhered to.
