- Take these documents, along with a valid ID, to a license plate counter, PostNL location, RDW inspection station or RDW desk.
- Pay the fee of €10.40 at the front desk.
- The clerk then puts the moped in your name. You will then receive a registration report. This is written proof of the transaction that you should keep well.
- You also get the release certificate from the clerk. You give this to the seller of the moped.
- From the moment the license plate is in your name, you are also liable for a licensee's obligations.
- The RDW will send you the new license plate card the same business day (if the license plate is transferred before 4 p.m.) or the next business day.
